Anette Falkenroth, MD, MBA, is the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Hospital, one of the largest in Europe employs 16.000, serves over 900.000 people and provides highly specialized care to all of Sweden and aims to become a leader in digital health. With a background as physician specializing in psychiatry, over 15 years in leadership positions and a passion for harnessing the power of technology, she brings unique insights to her current role spearheading the digital transformation of Sahlgrenska to build a culture of health innovation enabling enhanced patient care, improved connections between professionals and patients, and empowering people to take control of their own health.
Before her current position, Dr Falkenroth was instrumental in setting up several national digital health services, amongst others UMO.se a cutting-edge online youth clinic that makes health advice accessible 24/7 engaging Swedish youth using social and digital communication.
