Rolf Frankenberger is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Institute of Political Science, Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, Germany. He studied political science, sociology and psychology and currently is spokesperson of the working group on “Comparative Dictatorship and Extremism Research” of the German Political Science Association.
As a scholar of comparative politics, he is especially interested in the analysis of the nexus of the political and economic sphere, including comparative capitalism and welfare state research as well as the analysis of authoritarian rule. This includes the analysis of institutional patterns, functional requisits and interactions of the political system with economic and cultural social systems.
He is one oft he co-authors of a study oin the impacts of digitalisation on innovation, health and labor policies in eight European welfare states. Among his publications are several edited volumes, monographs and articles in Journals like Business&Politics, Politische Vierteljahresschrift or Femina Politica.
